ME

Therapeutic Focus
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Université de Montréal, a Masters in Counselling Psychology from McGill University, and a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I completed my doctoral internship at the Allan Memorial Institute within the McGill University Health Center, working at the Anxiety Disorders Clinic with individuals experiencing phobias, panic disorders, obsessive compulsive and related disorders (OCD), and social anxiety. I also worked at the Module for Evaluation and Liaison Clinic, providing care for individuals with borderline personality disorder, depression, and difficulties with emotion regulation.
Presently, I work with teens 16+, and adults of all ages. I view therapy as a process that leads to a better relationship with yourself, and to a clear pathway that transforms self-defeating patterns into healthy ones. I strongly believe that this collaboration is at its best when therapy first works to help you understand yourself and your behavioral and emotional patterns that get in your way. To do this, I provide a safe space to experience yourself and your life story with more clarity. I use this insight to shed light on underlying emotions, needs, and unrepaired experiences that need healing. My goal for each of my clients is to promote effective behavioral and emotional coping strategies, to replace painful emotions with healing and empowering ones, and to promote new perspectives and responses that improve improve quality of life in a meaningful way!
Approach
My approach is centered on creating an accepting, attentive, emotionally responsive environment. My therapeutic framework is integrative, meaning I draw on multiple approaches: I primarily lean on Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment-based Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and I also incorporate tools and techniques from CBT and third-wave approaches (Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
