Therapeutic Focus

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I completed my internship at the Allan Memorial Institute within the McGill University Health Center at the Anxiety Disorders Clinic, treating patients with obsessive compulsive and related disorders (OCD), phobias, social anxiety, and panic disorder. I also worked at the Module for Evaluation and Liaison Clinic with patients presenting with personality disorders including borderline personality disorder, depression, and emotion dysregulation. Subsequently, I worked at Psychologia, a private Montreal-based clinic, providing therapy to patients for issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, panic disorder, burnout, grief, self-esteem, emotion regulation, and career transitions.

Presently, in my private practice, I work with a clientele consisting of young adults, adults, and older adults. Therapy is a process that leads to a better relationship with yourself, as well as to proactively breaking patterns that get in your way and cause inner conflict and distress. I provide a safe space to understand yourself with more clarity, authenticity, and acceptance, and to channel this insight into effective coping strategies that comprehensively address areas of difficulty and challenge. Insight is balanced against change-oriented tools and techniques. The focus is on gaining increased self-awareness and self-compassion regarding underlying emotions, needs, and unrepaired hurtful experiences and transforming it into new perspectives and responses that reduce unwanted symptoms and ultimately improve quality of life.

My approach is centered on creating an accepting, attentive, and responsive environment. My therapeutic framework is integrative, meaning I draw on multiple approaches, including Emotion-Focused Therapy, CBT, and third-wave approaches (Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
